Hello!

So glad to meet you!

I am Rona Shirdan – children’s writer, editor, and picture book coach.

I have volunteered on a crisis hotline, sold toys, and worked for a Fortune 100 company coaching employees for over 40 years.

Currently, I am a freelance writer & editor, beta reader, and picture book mentor. I work with The Highlights Foundation as their Customer Experience Coordinator and Ambassador. I also serve as the Co-Regional Advisor for the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of SCBWI .

In my free time, you will find me involved in various ministries in my church or reading mystery novels and children’s books. I have a special love for picture books – fiction AND nonfiction!

I live near Philadelphia with my husband, Andre, and absolutely adorable cat, Lola. We have two adult sons, Aaron and Michael. I have a dislike for snow, and a fondness for prairie dogs, sloths, and giraffes.

My passion is working with new writers, motivating them and inspiring them to use their creativity and perseverance to get the work done. I partner with them as they persist and grow, and I join them in celebrating their successes!
